Welcome to Velana.ai, operated by Velana.ai Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your personal and health information when you use our mobile application ("Velana") and our website.

We may collect and process the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication.
• Profile & Lifestyle Preferences: Information about your fitness level, experience, schedule preferences, and nutrition choices.
• Health & Fitness Data: If you grant permission, we access steps, distance, duration, heart rate, active energy, and other activities from Apple Health (via HealthKit) to calibrate and evaluate your workouts. You can control or revoke this permission at any time in your iOS settings.
• Conversations & Inputs: We collect the text, transcription, and notes you share with the AI Coach to generate personalized plans and feedback.

We process your data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Velana AI Body Coach service.
• To generate personalized training plans, running workouts, and nutrition summaries.
• To evaluate your efforts using our AI model and update your training progress.
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• To process payments and manage your subscriptions via Stripe.

We share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate the app:

• Firebase (Google): For secure user authentication and account management.
• Microsoft Azure (Cosmos DB): For secure, encrypted storage of your user profile and database records.
• OpenAI / Google Gemini: As AI processors. To protect your privacy, we strip direct identifiers (like email) before processing chat context and health summaries through the AI engines. We do not permit these providers to use your health or personal data to train their models.
• Stripe: For processing payments. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

We strictly comply with Apple's developer guidelines regarding HealthKit. We will not use or disclose HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or other use-based data mining. Your HealthKit data is processed locally or stored in our database solely to provide fitness coaching and analysis, and is not shared with unauthorized third parties.

Under GDPR and other local regulations, you have the right to access, correct, restrict processing, or request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the app settings, or request data deletion by contacting us at support@velana.ai. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
